A grant that was awarded to Riverside County will cover up to 75% of the expense to treat your property. This funding was made possible by the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE), as part of the California Climate Investments (CCI) Program.
The goal of the "Riverside County Forest Health Program" is to reduce risk to forest assets by mitigating pest damage and removing dead, dying and diseased trees to reduce wildfire risks to your community.
An important outcome of this project is the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions resulting from wildfires. As well as removing trees, oaks at risk of attack by the Goldspotted Oak Borer (GSOB) may be eligible for a preventative pesticide treatment that would allow you to keep high-value trees on your property.
