Update 4/24/2015 7:40 a.m. : The fire remains at 1049 acres and is now 100% contained.
 
Update 4/23/2015 5:45 p.m.: Fire remains at 1049 acres and is now 98% contained.
 
Update 4/23/2015 @ 7:20 a.m. - Fire is still at 1049 acres and 96% contained.
 
Update 04/22/2015 6:00 p.m. No change in acreage, however, fire is now 92% contained. Next update tomorrow morning 04/23/2015.
 
Update 04/22/2015 6:30 a.m.: Acreage increased to 1049 acres due to GPS mapping and is now 85% contained. Firefighters remain on scene to reach full containment which is still estimated for Friday, April 24.
 
Update 4/21/2015 5:45 p.m.: No change in acreage, however, fire is now 75% contained. Full containment expected 4/24/2015 at 6:00 p.m. Next update will be tomorrow morning unless there are significant changes to the incident.
 
Update 4/21/15 @ 8:30 a.m. - The fire remains at 1020 acres. Containment is now at 60%.
 
UPDATE 4/20/15 @ 6:30 p.m. - The fire is holding at 1020 acres. Containment is now at 55%. All roadways are still open and currently there is no structure threat.
 
Update 4/20/15 @ 8:30 a.m. - The fire is holding at 1020 acres with 35% containment. ALL EVACUATIONS HAVE BEEN LIFTED. ALL ROAD CLOSURES WERE LIFTED AS OF 6:00 P.M. LAST NIGHT.
 
Update 4/19/2015 6:15p.m.: The cause of the fire has been identified as an unattended cooking fire.
 
Update 4/19/2015 at 5:15 p.m.: The fire is now 1020 acres with 35% containment. Hard road closures of River Road and Bluff, Bowden and Corridon, Smith and Rincon will be lifted at 6:00 p.m. tonight
 
Please drive cautiously and yield to fire equipment on roadways. There continues to be low lying smoke in the surrounding communities.
 
 
UPDATE 12:10 P.M. INFORMATION OFFICER, CAPTAIN LIZ BROWN IS ON SCENE FOR MEDIA INTERVIEWS AND CAN BE REACHED AT 909- 289-8124.
 
RESIDENTS WITH SENSITIVITY TO SMOKE SHOULD BE CAUTIONED ABOUT HEAVY SMOKE IN THE FIRE AREA AND BEYOND TO NEIGHBORING COMMUNITIES.
MOTORISTS SHOULD DRIVE WITH CAUTION DUE TO HEAVY, LOW LYING SMOKE AND FIRE EQUIPMENT WORKING IN THE AREA.
 
UPDATE 11:15 A.M. 4/19/2015: The fire has been mapped at 980 acres and is now 25% contained. Resources remain on scene and continue aggressive suppression efforts. Highway 91 and Highway 71 are both open. There will be heavy smoke throughout the area; potentially for several days. Those who have a sensitivity to smoke should stay indoors.

ALL EVACUATION ORDERS HAVE BEEN LIFTED. AN UPDATE WILL BE POSTED AFTER THE 7:00 A.M. MORNING INCIDENT BRIEFING.
 
Update 4/19/2015 12:00 a.m.: Fire is now approximately 300 acres and 15% contained. Mandatory evacuation orders for residents on Bluff Road, Homestead Road and Stagecoach Road remain in place.
 
Update 9:45 p.m. Fire is now 175 acres and 0%. Residents on Bluff Road, Homestead Road and Stagecoach Road are under mandatory evacuation. 200 homes threatened.
 
Update 9:30 p.m.: Fire is now approximately 75 acres and 0% containment. Firefight continues, MEDIA ONLY: Fire Captain and Information Officer Mike Mohler is on scene and can be reached at 951-377-8380. The Incident Command Post is located at Raahauges Gun Club at River Road and Hellman.
 
Updates are posted immediately as information is received by the Incident Commander and Information Officer.
 
 
Update 8:09p.m.: The fire is approximately 30 acres in difficult terrain. Updates will continue as information becomes available.
 
 
 
CAL Fire/Riverside County Fire with Corona City Firefighters are responding to a vegetation fire near The Prado Basin. The first reports received were trees on fire in the Prado Damn. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
