Current Situation

Update 5:30 p.m. - The fire damaged 60 of 341 units.  The loss was approximated at $620,000 with a save of $1.5 million. 
Update 2:34 p.m. - The Incident Commander reported three additional firefighters (a total of six) will be transported to an area hospital via ground ambulance with minor injuries.
Update 1:56 p.m. - Two additional firefighters (for a total of three) have been transported to an area hospital via ground ambulance with minor injuries.
Update 1:30 p.m.: Fire is contained. Resources will remain on scene for an extended period of time for overhaul operations.
UPDATE 11:40 A.M.: One firefighter will be transported to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries.  The incident has been upgraded to a four-alarm fire. PIO Fire Captain Bret Cerini (ADM50) to handle media interviews.
11:15 a.m. Update:  The fire has now been upgraded to a third alarm. No report of civilian or firefighter injuries.  MEDIA: Radio number ADM 50 will be on-scene in approximately 30 minutes to handle interviews.
10:40 a.m. Update:  The incident commander has requested a second alarm assignment.
10:37 a.m. Update:  Moreno Valley Police Department is assisting with traffic control.
CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters are on-scene of a fire at a storage complex.  The incident commander reported smoke showing from a storage unit facility in Moreno Valley.  Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
