Current Situation

Update 1:55 p.m.: The fire is now 100% contained, resources will begin clearing the scene in approximately one hour.
Update 7:42 a.m. 8/29/2016: The fire is 75% contained. Resources will remain on scene throughout the day.
Update 12:45 a.m. 8/29/2016: The fire remains 40 acres. This will be the last update of the night unless significant change occurs. Resources will remain on scene throughout the night and through tomorrow.
Update 8:44 p.m.: Resources will be committed on scene throughout the night and thru tomorrow.
Update 2:45: The fire is now 40 acres. Lake Elsinore Sky Dive has been shut down due to the incident.
CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire with the assistance of Cleveland National Forest and Corona City Firefighters are on scene of a thirty five acre vegetation fire in Lakeland Village. The fire is burning at a moderate rate of spread with a potential to burn 200 acres. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
