UPDATE 12/9/16 @ 6:40 p.m. - The patient has been transported by air to an area hospital.
CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded to a report of a semi-truck on fire on westbound Interstate 10 X Red Cloud Mine Road in Desert Center. Firefighters arrived on scene and reported one tractor fully involved in fire, and a fifty-two foot trailer partially involved in fire. There is one patient with approximately 10% burns to their upper extremities. Mercy Air Ambulance has been requested to the incident. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
