UPDATE 1/7/17 @ 4:45 p.m. - The fire was contained to a portion of wall, utility room, and locker room. All fire apparatus will be available shortly.
 
CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded to a report of smoke coming from the locker room and kitchen at the Citrus Club, 50000 block Mandarina in La Quinta. The first arriving engine company reported a two story, 5,000 square foot club house, with moderate smoke coming from the roof. A second alarm was requested and firefighters located a working attic fire. Firefighters are making progress on the fire, and checking for extension. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
