Current Situation

UPDATE 1/9/17 @ 12:23 P.M. - One patient was transported with minor symptoms to an area hospital by ground ambulance. Riverside County Fire Department Hazardous Materials Team was unable to determine a cause. Riverside County Environmental Health is on scene and has assumed the investigation. Fire Department resources will be clearing the scene shortly.
CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded to reports of multiple ill victims at a greenhouse located at the 82000 Block of Johnson Street in Oasis. Upon arrival, it was determined that 11 potential patients had left prior to firefighters arriving on scene, to seek medical evaluation. Five individuals at the location declined medical attention, firefighters are currently evaluating three additional patients with minor symptoms. Riverside County Fire Department Hazardous Materials Team is on scene attempting to determine the cause. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
