UPDATE 2-12-17 @ 11:02 a.m. - CAL FIRE Copter 301 was requested to perform a hoist rescue operation. The victim was extracted by firefighters and Copter 301 and transferred to a waiting ground ambulance. The victim was transported by ground ambulance to an area hospital with minor injuries.
CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters are responding to reports of an injured hiker in Massacre Canyon at Gilman Springs Road east of Sanderson Avenue in San Jacinto. Firefighters are attempting to make access to the victim. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
