Current Situation

CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters, with assistance of the USFS, Cleveland National Forest responded to a remote area rescue in Decker Canyon, a popular hiking destination in the Ortega Mountains west of Lake Elsinore. Due to the inaccessibility of the patient by emergency  vehicle, CAL FIRE Copter 301 performed a hoist rescue of an adult male. The patient was transferred to a waiting ground ambulance and was transported to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
