UPDATE 5-14-17 @ 2:56 p.m. - The fire is 50% contained.
CAL FIRE/Riverside County firefighters responded to reports of a vegetation fire on Highway 79 (Lambs Canyon) south of Dump Road in the unincorporated County area of Beaumont. The first arriving chief officer reported 1/4 acre of vegetation with a slow to moderate rate of spread up slope. The fire is currently holding at 12 acres. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
