UPDATE 5/16/17 @ 11:27 a.m. - Riverside County Fire Department's Hazardous Materials Team is on scene attempting to identify the unknown substance. UPDATE 5/16/17 @ 10:58 a.m. - The fire has been contained. UPDATE 5/16/17 @ 10:40 a.m. - Resources will remain on scene for approximately two hours. UPDATE 5/16/17 @ 10:04 a.m. - The civilian patient has been treated on scene by paramedics and will not be transported. Riverside County Fire Department's Hazardous Materials Team has been requested to the location for an unknown substance inside of the residence. CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded to a single report of a residential structure fire at the 30000 block of Desert Rock Road in the unincorporated County area of Indio. The first arriving Company Officer reported a single story residence with smoke and fire showing from the roof. One civilian is being treated by paramedics on scene for minor smoke inhalation.
