UPDATE 5/17/17 @ 11:16 a.m. - *Correction* Upon further investigation it was determined that the patient was not ejected from the vehicle. One patient with major injuries was transported by California Highway Patrol's Helicopter H60 to an area hospital. Two patients with minor injuries were transported by ground to area hospitals. The two remaining patients were evaluated by paramedics on scene and declined further treatment. For further information please contact California Highway Patrol. CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded to a traffic collision on Harrison Street south of Avenue 68 in Thermal. The first arriving engine company reported a two vehicle traffic collision with one person ejected from a vehicle. There are a total of five patients; one with serious injuries and four with minor injuries. Mercy Air Ambulance has been requested to the incident. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
