UPDATAE 7/10/17 @ 10:25 p.m. - The patient was brought down the trail and transported by ground ambulance to an area hospital with moderate injuries. CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded to reports of an adult female who suffered a lower extremity injury while hiking, in the area of Herb Jefferies X Hopalong Cassidy Trail in Rancho Mirage. Firefighters located the patient approximately a 1/2 mile up hill and began patient care. They are currently descending the patient down the trail. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
