Update 8/5/2017 7:00 a.m. The Stewart fire remains 122 acres and is now 97% contained. One travel trailer, one storage trailer and several vehicles were destroyed. One residence was damaged.
Update 8:50 p.m.: The fire is 122 acres (mapped) and 60% contained. One travel trailer and on storage trailer destroyed as well as damage to one single family home.
Update 5:40 p.m. Fire is now 35% contained.
Update - The forward spread of the fire has been stopped at 60 acres and the EVACUATION ORDER for Stewart Road has been LIFTED. The fire is 15% contained.
EVACUATION ORDER - STEWART ROAD is under an EVACUATION ORDER. There are no other evacuations.
Update - The fire is 20-25 acres and moving at a rapid rate of spread.
CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded to reports of a wildland fire at the 7600 block of Stewart Road in the Unincorporated County area of Moreno Valley. The first arriving engine company reported 10-15 acres of light fuels. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
