Update - The forward progress of the fire has been stopped. Updated acreage: 35 acres.
CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded to reports of a wildland fire at Highway 74 X Melba Avenue in Homeland. The first arriving Battalion Chief reported 50 acres of light vegetation involved with a moderate rate of spread. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
