UPDATE 11/8/17 @ 4:35 p.m. - Riverside County Hazardous Materials Team collected air samples from the fire, with no significant readings. The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) has taken over the incident. CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department is clearing the scene. For updates please contact BIA. UPDATE 11/8/17 @ 10:15 a.m. - One acre of thick debris is burning. Resources on scene are accessing the scene to determine if there is any hazard from the fire. Updates will continue to be posted as information becomes available. CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded to a possible hazardous material at the 87000 block of Avenue 66 in Thermal. Firefighters are on scene of approximately one acre of green waste mulch piles. Riverside County Fire Department's Hazardous Materials Team, and Riverside County Environmental Health are responding to the incident. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
