Update 5:40 p.m.: The fire was declared contained at 4:30 p.m. The Incident Commander requested response by the American Red Cross to assist unknown number of displaced family members as well as Animal Control to transport an injured feline. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
CAL FIRE/Riverside County and BIA Firefighters are on scene of a mobile home fire in Thermal. The first arriving engine company reported one mobile home fully involved and threatening an adjacent mobile home. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
