CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters, with the assistance of Riverside City Firefighters, responded to reports of a vegetation fire in the area of Limonite Avenue X Beach Street in Jurupa Valley. The first arriving engine company reported one large mulch pile well involved in fire that extended into the Santa Ana river bottom. The fire is well established in the river bottom and burning at a critical rate of spread, with 30 to 40 mile per hour winds in the area. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
