UPDATE[FINAL] 05-05-2018 Fire is 100% contained. Final size :15 acres.
5/5/18 Update - The fire is 26 acres and 90% containedFinal Evening Update 5/4/18 - Firefighters will remain on scene overnight. The next containment update will be provided following morning briefing 5/5/18 unless significant fire activity occurs.
Update - The forward progression of the fire has been stopped at 24.5 acres. The fire is 60% contained.
Update - The fire is holding at 10 acres and is 0% contained.
CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded to reports of a wildland fire at Highway 79 X Woodchuck Rd in the unincorporated County area of Temecula. The first arriving engine company reported three to five acres of light flashy fuels. The fire is currently 10 acres with a moderate rate of spread. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
