CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded to multiple reports of a fire at Oates Lane X Avenue 50 in Coachella. The first arriving engine company reported multiple pallets, cardboard boxes, and a power pole on fire with confirmed power lines down. Imperial Irrigation District is on scene to de-energize the power lines. Firefighters have stopped the forward progress of the fire, but will remain on scene for approximately two hours.
