5/18/18 FINAL UPDATE 6:50 p.m. - The fire is 100% contained, final acreage 1,261.
 
5/18/18 Update 9:04 a.m. - The fire is now 85% contained and remains 1,261 acres.
 
Update 10:01 p.m. - The fire is holding at 1,261 acres and remains 40% contained. The forward progress of the fire has been stopped and all evacuations have been lifted. This will be the FINAL evening update unless significant incident activity occurs. The next update will follow morning briefing on 5-18-18.
 
Update 7:21 p.m. - The fire is 1,261 acres and 40% contained.
 
Update 5:31 p.m. - The fire is 800 acres and 20% contained. Evacuation orders remain in place for Hidden Falls Road and Vista Road.
 
Update 4:20 p.m. - The fire is 300 acres and 0% contained. Approximately six homes are under an evacuation order and one unoccupied structure has been destroyed.
 
Update 3:50 p.m. - The fire is 200 acres and 0% contained.
 
CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded to reports of a wildland fire at the 34000 block of Rawson Road in Winchester. The first arriving engine company reported eight acres of light flashy vegetation involved. The fire is currently 25 acres. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
