UPDATE 6/11/18 @ 6:00 a.m. - The fourth patient has been extricated and is being transported by ground ambulance to an area hospital with major injuries. California Highway Patrol (CHP) is overseeing the investigation. For further information please contact CHP. CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded to reports of a traffic collision at the 32000 block of Ramona Expressway in Nuevo. The first arriving unit reported a two vehicle traffic collision with extrication. There is a total of four patients. One patient perished at the scene. One patient with major injuries and one patient with moderate injuries were transported by ground ambulances to an area hospital. The fourth patient has major injuries and is still trapped in a vehicle. Firefighters are currently attempting to extricate the fourth patient. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
