UPDATE 6/20/18 @ 7:50 a.m. - The fire remains at 154 acres and is 96% contained. Crews will remain on scene to reach full containment.

Update 6/19/2018 08:30 a.m.: No change in containment or acreage; 94% contained and 154 acres. Crews remain on scene to reach full containment. Next update will be this evening.


Update 6/18/2018 6:00 a.m. :Fire is 94% contained and remains 154 acres. Update 6/17/2018 6:30 p.m. :Fire is 92% contained and remains 154 acres. Update 6/17/2018 7:15 a.m.: Fire remains 85% contained and no change in acreage. Update 06/16/2018: Fire is now 85% contained. No change in acreage.

6-15-18 Update 6:58 a.m.: The fire is 75% contained.
6-14-18 Evening Update: Fire is 154 acres (increase due to better mapping) and is now 70% contained.
6-14-18 Update 9:03 a.m.: The fire is 40% contained.
6-13-18 Update 7:56 p.m.: The fire remains 120 acres and is 30% contained.
6-13-18 Update 8:00 a.m.: The fire remains 120 acres and 15% contained.
Update 10:23 p.m.: Updated mapping of the fire shows 120 acres. The fire is now 15% contained and northbound Highway 71 has been reopened. The next update will follow morning briefing on Wednesday, June 13, unless significant fire activity occurs.
Update 6:23 p.m.: The forward progress of the fire has been stopped. The mapped acreage is 100 acres and the fire is 5% contained. One firefighter is being evaluated for a non-life threatening injury.
Update 4:07 p.m.: The fire is approximately 120 acres with no containment.
Update 3:55 p.m.: The fire is now approximately 100 acres with no structure threat and no evacuations. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
*Preliminary Information* CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters, with the assistance of multiple agencies, are on scene of a wildland fire at Highway 71 south of Euclid Avenue in Chino. The fire is 70-75 acres burning in heavy fuels. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
