Update 7:20 p.m. - The fire is 50% contained.
Update 6 p.m. - Approximately 20 homes were temporarily evacuated, all residents have returned to their homes. The forward progress of the fire has been stopped at 1.25 acres and the fire is 20% contained. There are no structures threatened and no injuries reported. Firefighters will remain on scene for the next several hours for full containment.
Update - The fire is 1 to 1.5 acres and approximately ten structures are threatened. There are no evacuation orders.
CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded to reports of a wildland fire at the 41000 block of Margarita Road in Temecula. The first arriving engine company reported 1/4 acre of vegetation burning in a drainage with a moderate rate of spread. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
