CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle at southbound interstate 215 north of lower highway 74 in Perris. The first arriving engine company reported one victim who perished at the scene. All southbound lanes of interstate 215 are closed for an unknown duration. The incident has been turned over to the California Highway Patrol. Please contact CHP with any questions and for updates on the freeway closure.
