CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters, with the assistance of Idyllwild Fie Protection District Firefighters, responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a vehicle into a tree, on Highway 243 north of Cedar Glen Drive in Pine Cove. Firefighters arrived on scene and reported one victim trapped with critical injuries. Firefighters were able to extricate the victim from the vehicle. The victim succumbed to their injuries at the scene. California Highway Patrol (CHP) is overseeing the investigation. For further information please contact CHP.
