UPDATE: Firefighters were able to remove the victim from the tree. The victim was evaluated by paramedics on scene and declined further treatment.
CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters, along with Riverside County Sheriffs Department, responded to a report of a vehicle that went into flood waters and was swept into trees, near 56th Street X Felspar Street in Jurupa Valley. It was reported that the driver of the vehicle was on top of the vehicle hanging onto a tree when the vehicle swept away, leaving the driver in the tree. Firefighters arrived on scene and reported one victim in a tree. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
