[UPATE] 6:15 pm - The fire is 522 acres and 20% contained. The forward rate of spread has been stopped. One outbuilding was destroyed by the fire. All evacuation orders have been lifted. Resources will remain on scene throughout the night and into tomorrow. Unless significant incident activity occurs, the next update will be posted tomorrow morning.
[UPDATE] 4:49 pm - The fire remains at 500 acres and 0% contained. Evacuations orders remain in place for approximately 15 residences on Gilman Springs Road, between Highway 60 and Jack Rabbit Trail.
[UPDATE] 3:05 pm - The fire is now 500+ acres and 0% contained. The fire is burning at a rapid rate of spread in light grass and is threatening utility infrastructure in the area.
CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded to multiple reports of several spot fires along Gilman Springs Road, in Moreno Valley. The first arriving engine reported four spot fires approximately one mile apart and one acre each with threat to multiple structures. At this time the fire is currently 200 acres and 0% contained with a moderate rate of spread and several structure are still threatened.
