UPDATE 6/30/19 @ 7:15 a.m. - The fire remains at 214 acres and is 80% contained. Resources will remain on scene working on full containment. Unless significant activity occurs, the next update will be this evening.
CORRECTION 6/29/19 @ 6:03 p.m. - The containment of the fire is 40%. Firefighters will remain on scene working on full containment throughout the night. Unless any significant activity occurs, the next update will tomorrow morning.
UPDATE 6/29/19 @ 3:35 p.m. - The fire is 100% contained to 214 acres. Change is acreage is due to updated mapping of the fire. Resources will remain on scene for overhaul.
UPDATE 6/29/19 @ 1:55 p.m. - The forward rate of spread on the fire has been stopped. The fire is holding at 40 acres. Resources will remain committed for six to eight hours.
UPDATE 6/29/19 @ 12:52 p.m. - The fire is holding at 30 acres.
UPDATE 6/29/19 @ 12:21 p.m. - The fire is approximately 20 acres and burning at a rapid rate of spread. The fire is holding within the road structure, and burning on the west side of Lamb Canyon Road. All BLM resources have canceled their response.
CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters, with assistance from Bureau of Land Management Firefighters, responded to multiple reports of a vegetation fire in the area of Lamb Canyon Road X California Avenue in the unincorporated County area south east of Beaumont. Firefighters are on scene of approximately 15 acres of light flashy fuels, burning at a moderate to dangerous rate of spread. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
