UPDATE 8/6/19 @ 8:15 a.m. - The fire is 94 acres and 85% contained. Resources will remain on scene today working on full containment. Unless significant incident activity occurs, the next update will be this evening.
UPDATE 8/5/19 @ 7:28 p.m. - The fire is 90 acres and 75% contained.
UPDATE 8/5/19 @ 6:12 p.m. - One firefighter was evaluated and transported by ground ambulance with a non life threatening illness.
UPDATE 8/5/19 @ 4:33 p.m. - The fire remains at approximately 80 acres and is 50% contained. The forward progress of the fire has been stopped.
UPDATE 8/5/19 @ 3:52 p.m. - The fire is now 80 acres and 0% contained.
UPDATE 8/5/19 @ 3:28 p.m. - The fire is now 25 acres. Approximately three homes along El Toro Road have been evacuated.
UPDATE 8/5/19 @ 2:53 p.m. - The fire is now 16 acres. There are confirmed power lines down in the area of the fire. Additional air and ground resources have been requested to the incident.
CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded to reports of a vegetation fire near the 26000 block of El Toro Road in lake Elsinore. Firefighters are on scene of seven acres of light to medium fuels burning at a rapid rate of spread. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
