Cause: Under Investigation Evacuation Comments: UPDATE - 9:00 PM All evacuation orders are lifted for the Reche Fire. Reche Canyon drive from Reche Vista to Locust Drive will be open only to residents to come in and out. Please be cautious returning to your homes as fire resources continue working in the area. UPDATE 3:15 pm - Care and reception center has been opened by Riverside County Emergency Management Department with City of Moreno Valley Office of Emergency Management, located at Canyon Springs High School, located at 23100 Cougar Canyon Road in Moreno Valley. Mandatory evacuations north of Country Road on Reche Vista Road, Covey Road from Perris Blvd to the Dead End. Reche Canyon Road, east of Reche Vista Drive and west of Locust Avenue.

Current Situation

FINAL UPDATE 10/13/19 @7:30 A.M - The fire is now 100% contained at 350 acres.
 
Evening Update  10/12/19 @ 4:45 P.M. - The fire remains at 350 acres and is 97% contained. Fire resources are continuing fire suppression repairs.
 
UPDATE 10/12/19 @ 7:30 A.M. - The fire remains at 350 acres and is 85% contained.
 
Evening Update 10/11/2019 6:00 P.M.: The fire is 350 acres and is now 75% contained. All road closures lifted. Please be mindful when driving through the fire area and yield to fire personnel and equipment working in the area. This is the final update for the evening unless significant activity warrants otherwise.
 
UPDATE 10/11/2019 1:40 P.M.: Fire remains 350 acres and is now 60% contained. Road closure at Reche Canyon Road between Reche Vista and Locust remains in effect and is open to residents only with proper identification only.
Morning Update 10/11/2019 7:15 A.M.: The fire is 350 acres and now 40% contained. Resources remain on scene to strengthen containment lines.
 
10/10/19 @ 6:30 PM [UPDATE] Due to better mapping the fire is currently 350 acres and 10% contained. Firefighters are working in very steep, inaccessible terrain.
 
10/10/10 @ 5:25 PM [UPDATE] Large and small animals may be taken to the San Jacinto Valley Animal Campus, located at 581 S. Grand Avenue, in San Jacinto. If residents are unable to get to their pets and need help to evacuate pets, please call (951) 358-7387.
 
10/10/2019 @ 4:40 PM [UPDATE] The fire is currently 400 acres and 0% contained, burning with a moderate rate of spread. High tension power lines are threatened in the area.
 
10/10/2019 @ 3:30 PM - [UPDATE] The fire is currently 200 acres and 0% contained. It is currently burning with a moderate rate of spread.
 
10/10/2019 @ 2:05 PM - [UPDATE] The fire is now 100 acres and 0% contained.
 
CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded to reports of a trailer fire with extension to the vegetation. The first arriving engine reported 1 trailer fully involved with approximately 1/4 acre of vegetation burning at a moderate rate of spread. Currently, the fire is 20 acres and burning at a rapid rate of spread. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
