Evening Update 10/12/19 @ 4:45 P.M. - The fire remains at 350 acres and is 97% contained. Fire resources are continuing fire suppression repairs.
UPDATE 10/12/19 @ 7:30 A.M. - The fire remains at 350 acres and is 85% contained.
Evening Update 10/11/2019 6:00 P.M.: The fire is 350 acres and is now 75% contained. All road closures lifted. Please be mindful when driving through the fire area and yield to fire personnel and equipment working in the area. This is the final update for the evening unless significant activity warrants otherwise.
UPDATE 10/11/2019 1:40 P.M.: Fire remains 350 acres and is now 60% contained. Road closure at Reche Canyon Road between Reche Vista and Locust remains in effect and is open to residents only with proper identification only.
Morning Update 10/11/2019 7:15 A.M.: The fire is 350 acres and now 40% contained. Resources remain on scene to strengthen containment lines.
10/10/19 @ 6:30 PM [UPDATE] Due to better mapping the fire is currently 350 acres and 10% contained. Firefighters are working in very steep, inaccessible terrain.
10/10/10 @ 5:25 PM [UPDATE] Large and small animals may be taken to the San Jacinto Valley Animal Campus, located at 581 S. Grand Avenue, in San Jacinto. If residents are unable to get to their pets and need help to evacuate pets, please call (951) 358-7387.
10/10/2019 @ 4:40 PM [UPDATE] The fire is currently 400 acres and 0% contained, burning with a moderate rate of spread. High tension power lines are threatened in the area.

10/10/2019 @ 2:05 PM - [UPDATE] The fire is now 100 acres and 0% contained.
CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded to reports of a trailer fire with extension to the vegetation. The first arriving engine reported 1 trailer fully involved with approximately 1/4 acre of vegetation burning at a moderate rate of spread. Currently, the fire is 20 acres and burning at a rapid rate of spread. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
