Cause: Evacuation Comments: Update 03/04/20 @ 8:10 A.M. - All evacuation warnings have been lifted. Please use caution when returning to your home. Update 03/03/20 6:45 P.M. Evacuations west of California Ave. and north of 8th Street have been lifted. Evacuation ORDERS, north of North Drive and east of California Avenue have been downgraded to an EVACUATION WARNING. 11:50 a.m. - EVACUATION ORDERS IN PLACE: North of 8th St. east of Pedley Ave. and South of Santa Ana Riverbottom***********EVACUATION ORDERS IN PLACE north of North Drive from Crest View to California.

FINAL UPDATE: The fire was 100% contained on Friday 3/06/2020 at 5:30 p.m.
Morning Update 03/06/20 @ 8:25 A.M. - The fire remains at 180 acres and is 90% contained. Firefighters will continue with mop-up efforts and strenghtening containment lines.
 
 
Evening Update 03/05/20 @ 6:00 P.M. -  The fire is 180 acres & 80% contained. The next update will be posted tomorrow morning unless significant incident activity occurs.
 
 
Morning Update 3/05/20 @ 6:10 A.M. - The fire is 180 acres & 65% contained. The increase in acreage is due to walking the fire line for better mapping. Next update will be posted this evening unless significant incident activity occurs.
 
Evening Update 3/04/20 @ 6:00 P.M. - The fire remains at 175 acres and is now 50% contained. Firefighters continue to strengthen containment lines throughout the night. Unless significant incident activity occurs, the next update will be tomorrow morning.
 
Update 03/04/20 @ 8:10 A.M. - All evacuation warnings have been lifted. Please use caution when returning to your home.
 
Morning Update 03/04/2020 6:00 a.m. - The fire remains 175 acres and is now 35% contained. A day assignment will be working to fully contain the fire and strengthen containment lines. There will be areas inside the burn that will put off smoke throughout the day. Evacuation Warnings remain in place for affected areas. Updates will be posted throughout the day as information becomes available.

Update 03/02/20 6:45 P.M. Evacuations west of California Ave. and north of 8th Street have been lifted. Evacuation ORDERS, north of North Drive and east of California Avenue have been downgraded to an EVACUATION WARNING.
Update 3:30 p.m. Fire is 175 acres and is now 20% contained. Forward spread has stopped, however, evacuation orders remain in place. Two civilians received non-life threatening injuries. Five properties received minor damage to fencing and outbuldings. Additional updates will be posted as information becomes available.

Corona High School: 1150 W. 10th St., Corona
Jurupa Valley High School: 10551 Bellegrave Ave., Jurupa Valley
 
Large animal evacuations: George Ingalls Park: 3737 Crestview Dr., Norco
 
Update 11:50 a.m. - Evacuation Orders expanded to include: North of 8th Street, East of Pedley Ave. and South of Santa Ana Riverbottom.
 
Update 11:20 a.m.: Fire is now approximately 100 acres with 0% containment. Evacuation orders in place: north of North Ave from Crestview to California. CAL FIRE/Riveriside County Firefighters are on scene of a wildland fire in the Santa Ana Riverbottom. The fire is currently 10-15 acres. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
