Current Situation

UPDATE 6/9/2020 at 9:07 A.M. Incident Command has transitioned to Corona Fire Department. For more information contact Corona Fire Department.

UPDATE 6/8/2020 at 9:55 p.m. - The fire is 80% contained to 97 acres. (Change in acreage due to better mapping.) Resources will remain on scene throughout the night working on full containment. Unless significant incident activity occurs, the next update will be tomorrow.

UPDATE @ 6:12 P.M. Forward rate of spread has been stopped, fire is 25% contained at 110 acres. Cajalco Road is now open between La Sierra Avenue and Temescal Canyon Road.

UPDATE @ 5:37 P.M. Fire is 100 acres, 5% contained. Structure threat has been mitigated.

UPDATE @ 5:09 P.M. Fire is 60 acres. Additional ground resources requested.

UPDATE @ 5:05 P.M. Road closures in place for Cajalco Road from Temescal Canyon Road to La Sierra Avenue.

CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department, in Unified Command with Corona Fire Department are on scene wildland fire near La Sierra Ave and Cajalco Road. The fire is approximately 30-40 acres burning at a critical rate. RSO responding for road closures at La Sierra and Cajalco Road. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
