8/27/2021 UPDATE 9:00 P.M.: The fire is 100% contained.
 
8/27/2021 UPDATE 10:00 A.M.: The fire is now 85% contained.
 
8/26/2021 UPDATE 9:15 P.M.: The fire remains 295 acres and is now 80% contained.
 
8/26/2021UPDATE at 9:00 A.M. - The fire remains at 295 acres and is now 70% contained. Crews will remain on scene as they work on strengthening containment lines.
 
8/25/21 UPDATE at 8:00 A.M. - ALL EVACUATIONS HAVE BEEN LIFTED IN THE ROCK FIRE BURN AREA. Please use caution returing to your home as fire, sheriff and utility crews are still working in the area.
 
8/25/2021 UPDATE at 7:30 A.M. - The fire is 295 acres and 30% contained. All evacuation orders and warning still remain in place. Firefighters will continue to work on strengthening containment lines and extinguishing the fire throughout the day.
 
7:41 P.M. UPDATE: The evacuation order and warning will remain in place overnight while firefighters work to contain the fire. The evacuations will be re-evaluated in the morning. This is the final evening update unless significant fire activity occurs.
 
6:45 P.M. UPDATE: The fire destroyed four homes and seven outbuildings. The evacuation order and warning remain in place. No injuries reported.
 
6:10 P.M. UPDATE: The forward spread of the fire has been stopped at 250 acres. Firefighters will remain on scene overnight for mop up and containment.
 
4:50 PM UPDATE: EVACUATION ORDERS in effect for residents South of Bailey Rd, West of Terwilliger Road, South of Nickerson and Tule Canyon Truck Trail and East of Nicholson Springs Rd.

4:11 P.M. [UPDATE] The fire is approximately 50 acres.
 
CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded to reports of a vegetation fire at Gulley View Road and Rock Canyon Road in Anza. The first arriving engine company reported two to three acres of vegetation burning at a slow to moderate rate of spread. The fire is currently ten acres. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
