Cause: Evacuation Comments: Update 1/15/14 9:55 p.m. The shelter was closed at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday night. Update 9:55 p.m.: The American Red Cross has set up a shelter at Patriot High School, 4355 Camino Real in Jurupa Valley to assist those displaced by the fire. Update 7:10 p.m.: Evacuation orders were lifted at 6:30 p.m. The Red Cross is at the Evacuation Center assisting those displaced by the fire. Update 1:10 p.m.: Evacuation Center location: Patriot High School, 4355 Camino Real in Jurupa Valley. Update 12:50 p.m.: West Riverside Elementary School is being evacuated. Students are being taken to Mission Middle School - 3600 Packard Street. Update: Information Officer en route. RSO assisting with evacuations of residents, commercial buildings and the Rubidoux Child Care Center (5765 42nd Street). County OES working with American Red Cross with information and location of evacuation center.

Current Situation

7:00 p.m.:  Fire was 100% contained at 6:00 p.m. Evacuation orders were lifted at 6:30 p.m.
Update 4:40 p.m.: One firefighter was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Update 4:17 p.m.: Fire is now 85% contained.
Update 2:58 p.m. The fire is now 70% contained.
Update 2:15 p.m.: The fire is now approximately 50% contained. Preliminary damage assessment includes 11 outbuildings, 40 vehicles (most of which were under repair or salvaged), 3 motorhomes, 4 residential structures and 2 damaged structures. No injuries reported. Resources will remain on scene  to reach full containment, patrol area for hot spots and fully control the fire.
Update 1:11 p.m.: A one-square mile area is under mandatory evacuation orders (Pacific Ave. to Mission Blvd. and Riverview to 42nd St.) Two acres of vegetation, several vehicles and unknown number/type structures have burned. No injuries reported.
Update 11:20 a.m.: Multiple powerlines down. Mission Boulevard is closed at Pacific Avenue.
CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters are on scene of a fire involving multiple vehicles and vegetation. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
