Comments:  A unified command has been established including CAL FIRE, Riverside County Fire, CHP, Riverside County Sheriff, and Union Pacific. CAL FIRE and Riverside County Fire Department in conjunction with Union Pacific Railroad made significant progress overnight. Three railcars are remaining in the derailment area. One of those three is a tank car that contained Hydrochloric Acid. Molasses from another tank has entered the Hydrochloric Acid tank and has created a hazardous waste. The focus today will be to secure and remove the remainder of the cars and mitigate the hazardous materials incident. Hazardous materials teams will continue monitoring air quality for the public's safety.The Incident Command Post is located at 68th Avenue x Grant Street. Problems:   If progress continues and the hazards are mitigated a re-entry plan for displaced residents will be prepared. Residents should stay informed of the conditions and obey all road closures and evacuation orders.
