CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department Public Information Officers and Specialists provide the media and public timely and accurate information about emergency incidents. Significant incidents will be posted on the Incident Information page . Incident information is NOT provided by this office for the incorporated cities of Riverside, Corona, Norco, Murrieta, Hemet, Cathedral City, Palm Springs. Please contact these cities for incidents occuring in their service areas.

Our normal business hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.   On-call coverage is provided on Fridays, after-hours, weekends and holidays. In the event of a major incident, our call center hours may be extended to meet the informational needs of the public and media.  

During significant incidents and/or at the request of the Incident Commander, a field PIO will respond to the scene to handle the needs of the media.
