The CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department Public Affairs Bureau is the point of contact for the public and the media regarding emergency incidents and the day-to-day activities of the department.

The Information office is staffed seven days a week by Public Information Specialist to provide the media and the public timely and accurate information about emergency incidents. Significant Incidents will be posted to the Incident Information page .

A Public Information Officer is available and on-call 24 hours a day.  During significant incidents, at the request of the Incident Commander, a field PIO will respond to the scene to handle the needs of the media. The field PIO's provide information about the incident and ensure that the Public Information Office has the most recent information.
