“Fire Department Emergency!”
One of the most challenging jobs within the Riverside County Fire
Department is that of a Fire Dispatcher! Dispatchers work at a fast pace, under constant

traffic at the same time.
Riverside County Fire Department is seeking individuals who
possess:
-
Willingness to work any shift assignment; work
holidays, weekends and overtime as required (Public Safety Communications Officers work three
12-hours shifts one week and four 12-hour shifts the next week)
-
The ability to handle a high volume of
emergency calls with tact, good judgment, initiative and speed
-
The ability to remain alert, responsible,
diligent, thorough and who can speak clearly and concisely

The ability to exercise good judgment under
demanding circumstances while maintaining a professional demeanor
