In 2002, forty
Juvenile Fire-Setter Training Programs were conducted and forty-two education programs were
conducted, including the Farmers Fair and the Riverside County Date Festival, for a total of
108,359 contacts.

Reduction section inspected 22,050 parcels and posted 8,875 in 2002..
Annual inspections
for licensed care facilities in 2002 for first inspections totaled 509, for 825 hours and 190 for
second inspections for 210 hours.
School inspections
in 2002 for first inspections totaled 160 for 923 hours. First inspections of power-lines totaled
2,810 with 47 violations, and 47 second
inspections with
no violations. The Hazard Reduction office inspected powerlines with Southern California Edison,
Anza Electric Co-op, and Banning Electric for PRC 4292 and PRC 4293.
