#RosaFIRE [FINAL UPDATE 8/12/25 8:00AM] All evacuation WARNINGS have been lifted. The fire is at 1,671 acres and 98% contained. Crews will be patrolling the perimeter, monitoring hot spots, and working on suppression repair and mop-up. Please use caution when entering the area as firefighters are working with heavy equipment and resources.

#RosaFIRE [UPDATE 8/11/25 5:00PM] The fire remains at 1,671 acres and 95% contained. Crews have worked throughout the day continuing strengthening containment lines, mopping up hot spots, and patrolling the perimeter.

#RosaFIRE [UPDATE 8/11/25 7:00 AM] The fire is 1671 acres and 95% contained. The fire remains within the existing perimeter with no additional growth observed. Overnight recovery will continue to be poor due to minimal increases in relative humidity. Daily high temperatures will reach the upper 90s today. Mop up as well as perimeter patrolling will be on going. Good progress is being made with fire suppression repairs throughout the affected areas.

#RosaFIRE [UPDATE 8/10/25 7:00 PM] The fire is 1671 acres and 90% contained. Firefighters are diligently monitoring the fire perimeter and extinguishing any smoldering hot spots. Fire suppression repair remains on going across impacted areas. Heat, steep terrain, and equipment access are still some of the challenges crews are facing. Damage inspection teams have completed 100% of the inspections on the Rosa fire.

#RosaFIRE [UPDATE 8/10/25 7:00 AM] The fire is 1671 acres and 85% contained. Firefighters are aggressively working to strengthen perimeter control lines, mop up, and tactically patrol. Fire activity remains minimal, limited to isolated smoldering in heavy dead and down fuels. Daily high temperatures will reach the upper 90s, with relative humidity remaining low. Highway 74 is now open for travel.

#RosaFIRE [UPDATE 8/9/25 7:00 PM] The fire is 1671 acres and 80% contained. Crews continue to mop up and patrol. The fire activity remains minimal, limited to isolated smoldering in heavy dead and downed fuels. Resources are actively engaged in suppression repair. Damage inspection teams have begun their process to identify damage to any structures within the fire area. All Evacuation Orders have been lifted, and an Evacuation Warning remains for the fire area.

THE FOLLOWING EVACUATION WARNINGS HAVE BEEN LIFTED: RVC – 1983A, RVC – 1984, RVC – 2051, RVC – 2052, RVC – 2121B, RVC – 2122C. #RosaFIRE [UPDATE 8/9/25 7:00 AM] Firefighters remained mopping up hot spots and patrolling the perimeter overnight. The fire continues to remain within the current control line. Crews continued to have minimal fire activity. Fire suppression efforts have transitioned from active line construction to reinforcing existing control lines, mop-up, and suppression repair. Hot, dry, and breezy weather conditions will persist throughout the weekend.

Crews experienced minimal fire activity today and firefighters continued to build and reinforce containment lines. Fire Suppression Repair remains ongoing. Weather will remain typical for the fire area with poor humidity recovery overnight. Please continue to drive carefully as emergency personnel are still working in the area.

#RosaFIRE [UPDATE 8/8/25 7:00 AM] The overnight humidity remained poor with little relief leaving fuels dry and ready to burn. Hot and dry conditions are expected to continue. The fire continues to hold within the established containment lines. Pockets of unburned fuels may burn within the interior portions of the fire. Please drive carefully as emergency personnel are still working throughout the fire area.

#RosaFIRE [UPDATE 8//25 10:00 AM] The fire is 1690 acres and 30% contained. Firefighters remain actively engaged in maintaining containment lines as fire activity remains minimal. Crews continue mopping up the fire’s edge as well as extinguishing hot spots within the interior. Hot, dry, and windy conditions remain challenging for firefighters. The area of the Rosa fire will remain in a heat advisory throughout the rest of the week.

#RosaFIRE [UPDATE 8/6/25 7:00 AM] The fire is now 1658 acres and 18% contained. Last night the crews continued to make good progress. Today fire crews will continue to construct and strengthen existing containment lines. We will remain in a heat advisory with relative humidity that is expected to be in single digits. The remote and rugged terrain in the area continues to present operational challenges for resources.

#RosaFIRE [UPDATE 8/6/25 3:00 PM] The fire is now 1690acres and 21% contained. Fire crews continued to make good progress today in strengthening containment lines. The area saw an increase in temperatures into the mid-90s with relative humidity continuing to drop. The steep terrain in the area presents operational challenges, limiting access for ground crews and heavy equipment. All of which continues to make fire line construction difficult. Resources will continue to remain engaged throughout the night.

[UPDATE 8/6/25 7:00 AM] The fire is now 1658 acres and 18% contained. The Rosa Fire is actively burning in steep, rugged, and remote terrain at moderate elevations, presenting limited access for ground resources and demonstrating a strong resistance to control efforts. Live fuels in the area are nearing critical moisture levels. There is no recorded history of major fire activity in this area. The fire remained active overnight, with noticeable fire behavior continuing until approximately 2:00 am. Crews today will continue working the interior of the fire and around structures in the evacuation zones.

[UPDATE 8/5/25 1:30 PM] The fire is now 1658 acres and 15% contained. Firefighters continued to aggressively attack the fire from the air and the ground. Steep and rugged terrain, warm temperatures and the wind remain a challenge for firefighters.

There will be minimal humidity recovery overnight resulting in increased night fire activity. The upcoming weather will be hotter and dryer with lower humidity contributing to more fire activity when aligned with slopes and prevailing winds with active fire spread expected. Short range spotting is likely with potential fire movement, resulting in evacuation orders and warnings remaining in place until further notice. Firefighters will continue fighting the fire throughout the night.

[UPDATE 8/5/25 1:30 PM] The fire remains 1,162 acres and 5% contained, with evacuation orders and warnings in place. Firefighters on the ground will be going direct to improve and extend current containment lines. Additional resources surged into the fire last night and will be hitting the line today. Aircraft will be working with ground resources on hot spots and any flare ups that may occur.

[UPDATE 8/4/25 10:15 PM] The fire remains 1,200 acres and 0% contained, with evacuation orders and warnings in place. Firefighters on the ground and night-flying helicopters are on scene, fighting the fire throughout the night. The next update will be after 8AM on Tuesday, August 5th, unless significant fire activity occurs.

[UPDATE 8/4/25 4:40 PM] The fire is now at 1,200 acres and 0% contained. No injuries reported.

[UPDATE 8/4/25 4:00 PM] The fire is now at 300 acres. Evacuation ORDERS and WARNINGS are in place. No injuries reported.

[UPDATE 8/4/25 1:30 PM] The fire is 30 acres and continues to burn at a rapid rate. No injuries or evacuations.

CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters are on scene of a 10 acre vegetation fire burning at a rapid rate of spread. Additional air and ground resources have been requested.
