Current Situation

[UPDATE 7:00AM]: The fire is now 65% contained; firefighters will continue to strengthen containment lines throughout the day. No injuries reported. 

[UPDATE 8:15PM]: The fire is now 30% contained; firefighters have walked the fire perimeter and have determined the fire has burned 83 acres. Fire resources will remain on scene overnight working to strengthen containment lines. No injuries reported. This will be the final update of the evening barring any significant updates on fire activity.

[UPDATE 6:20PM]: The fire is now 15% contained. Firefighters continue working on containment lines in steep terrain and will be committed for several hours.

Firefighters are on-scene of approximately 15 acres burning in the unincorporated area north of Moreno Valley, between Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. The forward rate of progress has been stopped, and firefighters will remain on-scene for several hours working on full containment and control. CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department is in Unified Command with CAL FIRE San Bernardino and Redlands City Fire Department.
