HOW TO BECOME A FIREFIGHTER

CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department Firefighters are part of an elite team protecting lives, property, and natural resources across Riverside County. We are an all-risk, all-hazard department that responds to wildland, structure fire, medical emergencies, and more.

Starting salaries are approximately $78,000 per year, with full benefits, including medical coverage, paid leave, and retirement. Firefighters work a 66-hour work schedule with rotating days in a fast-paced, rewarding environment focused on training, teamwork, and growth.
