8/2/23 UPDATE 3:00 PM All Evacuation Orders are lifted as of 3:00 PM today, (8/2/23). Evacuation Warnings are in place only within the fire perimeter (burned area). As a reference, the fire perimeter roughly encompasses the area: North of Rim Rock Road, East of Bonny Lane, South of Bowers Road and Ramsey Road, West of Chapman Road

8/1/23 UPDATE 3:00 PM Evacuation Warnings have been lifted for:

  • All areas north of the southern Cahuilla Reservation Boundary
  • Area north of San Diego County Line, east of Terwilliger Road, south of La Cima Road/Indian Paint Brush Road and west of Anza Borrego State Park

All EVACUATION ORDERS remain in place. Current Evacuation Orders and Warnings are now as follows:

  • EVACUATION ORDERS: North of the San Diego County Line East of Bonny Lane South of Ramsey Road West of Chapman Road

7/28/23 UPDATE 5:00 PM Residents impacted by the fire may evacuate large and small animals to the San Jacinto Animal Campus, located at 581 South Grand Avenue in San Jacinto for shelter. Those needed assistance with animal evacuations can call (951) 358-7387.

7/28/23 UPDATE 12:30 PM An Expanded Evacuation Order has been issued for ALL residents of the Terwilliger Valley Community. The evacuation area includes: North of the San Diego County Border, West of Anza Borrego State Park, South of Bowers, Bailey, and Ramsey, and East of Bonny.

8/10/23 UPDATE 8:00 AM As of August 09, 2023 at 8:00 AM the fire was 100% contained to 2,322 acres.

8/4/23 UPDATE 7:00 PM The fire remains at 2,322 acres and 98% contained. Fire crews will continue to patrol the fire area.

8/4/23 UPDATE 8:00 PM The fire remains at 2,322 acres and is 98% contained.

8/3/23 UPDATE 8:00 PM The fire remains at 2,322 acres and is 95% contained.

8/3/23 UPDATE 3:00 PM All EVACUATION WARNINGS and road closures have been lifted. Please use caution when traveling within the area and returning home.

CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded to multiple reports of a vegetation fire near the 44000 block of Bonny Lane in Aguanga. The first on scene Company Officer reported 5-10 acres of medium brush burning at a moderate to critical rate of spread. Additional ground and air resources were requested.
